Cleaning Out The Closet (Updated 1/9/11)

Hey all,

It's that time again. Time to look at the collection and figure out what needs to go. I've posted several bits and odds and ends from my miniatures collection out there on Ebay and thought I'd give a heads-up here. I'm hoping to generate funds to put into projects that are or have gone places so I won't be gaming these forward, I'm afraid.

UPDATE: I realized that I sort of jumped the gun on these things, so for those items that hadn't had any bids on the auctions, I pulled them off Ebay to allow for some of my friends and fellow gamers to make offers on. The 28mm Aliens and the 40K Whirlwind are now off of Ebay and available for purchase or best offer.

Give them a good home?
Take a look and thanks!

  1. Are these already on eBay? I would be interested in the Whirlwind. The Germans on Venus need some armour...

  2. Damn! I was also interested in converting the Wirlwind into VSF.

  3. An old issue of White Dwarf explained how to make the whirlwind. As far as I remember, you used a GW large square base, i.e. a base with a grid of circles on the underside, probably 40mm. You cut this in half to give the eight circles in two rows of four and built the rest of the box from card or plasticard. Detailing from the rhino kit was probably then added. Not sure how the turntable was made.

  4. How funny, I was wistfully looking at my Cybertronic just the other day thinking they needed to see the light of day. I'll echo, "Already on eBay?!?!?!" Good luck to your auctions, turning dead ends into funds for projects with an actual pulse is always a good thing!

  5. I'm am sorry if I didn't communicate better on this. I was posting here to let people know about the auctions.

I'm in a bit of a budget crunch and the only way to get some life into my hobby for the next couple of months is going to be to sell off some of the stuff I am not using.

I would much rather trade/give it away, really.
