I have been sculpting again. This time it is classic mutant future type weirdos. I have about seven sculpts in various states of finish. The image above is the first of them to reach the completed stage.
This is a pretty basic sort of character. A twisted brute, deformed and/or scarred by the toxic world into which he was born and wearing armor scavenged from the ruin of the world that came before. I wanted his armor and weapon to look rough and as wasted as he did. Crude piece of scrap metal, beaten and bolted into a semblance of body armor, incorporating wheel parts and various other industrial parts. His weapon is a jaggedly sharp scrap, bolted onto a shaft.
He looks great Eli! I'd like to start sculpting this year.
ReplyDeleteYou sculpting? That is exciting!
DeleteSo far I've just done really simple conversions, but I do enjoy it so I think the next step is an actual figure. Mainly because it seems impossible... I like a challenge!
DeleteJacker,
DeleteIt can be frustrating at times but when it works it feels so good.
I started with conversion. Little ones and then on to big ones.
How big is he?
ReplyDeleteHe is 15mm scale but comes in at about 18mm to top of head.
DeleteThat. Is. Amazing. Very nice job!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tim.
DeleteFortunately wasteland mutants is a subject that is very forgiving of sculpting blunders :)
Nice work, Eli. Keep it up, and keep us informed, please!
ReplyDeleteNice work there, Eli.
