Splintered Light Blog

Good new everyone!

Splintered Light Miniatures producers of several lines of excellent 15mm fantasy, scifi, and historical figures has entered the blogosphere with a great new blog that shows personal projects as well as upcoming releasing, WIP and such. So far David has woed us with some wonderful staged shots of his Druid's Children line, as well as green and scale comparisons of the same. He's also given us a peep at some awesome-looking 15mm savage, stone-age orcs.

A bit of a note on the Druid's Children line. I have commented on this line before and have severla of the figs from it and though they are listed as 15mm, they really do absolutely, fabulously at home next to 25/28mm figs. I personally think they fit in better with the 25/28mm stuff than other 15mm. A trully magical line of minis which features weasels, badgers, mice, rats, moles, hedgehogs, foxes, martins, rabbits, even a frog and a wolverine and soon RACCOONS! Finally a little love for natures masked bandit.

Anyhow, believe Dr. Farnsworth, this is not just good news but great news. Go on over to the blog and the Splintered Light site and check out the awesomeness there.

Have fun!

-Eli

[I hope David doesn't mind me posting the pics of the raccoons off of his blog, but I felt I needed to give a little exposure to my favorite line of his.]

  2. thanks for sharing Eli - you don't happen to have any of the kobolds from there do you? they look great, but I wonder how well they'd stand next to my 25mm crew...

  3. ZB - I do not. But considering how small kobolds are supposed to be, they may actually work well. They do tend to resemble classic D&D kobolds.

  4. Thanks Eli, the local gaming store closed down 2 weeks ago, so I've been in a funk. One of the things I've thought about doing is running mouse guard for my nephews. These mini's would be awesome for that.

  5. Thanks for the heads up, Eli! I've been admiring their minis but haven't bought any yet.

Ze Bulette- look under the goblinoids link. They have a box set of Kobolds. Here's the link: http://www.splinteredlightminis.com/goblinoids.html

  6. I have a friend who was looking to get into Hordes of the Things and needed to find a new 15mm fantasy sculpt. These may fit the bill! Thanks!
