Going Native: Warpath - Miniatures Battles in Native America and the Pacific

In my previous post, I mentioned a few Kickstarter campaigns that I liked, but there is one, Gone Native: Warpath that really jumps off the screen at me.

I've always had a thing for fantasy settings that do not fall into the typical European-based mode and Gone Native is certainly that sort of setting. Based on the cultures of Pre-Columbian America and the Pacific Islands, this game invites the player to engage in skirmish level battles between powerful native warriors and the mythological creatures that populated their beliefs. It's such a unique idea and the miniatures are shaping up to be equally amazing.

Those of you who have followed this blog long enough, know of my passion for developing creatures and worlds such as my Uhul and Age of Stone and Bone and this sort of setting seems to fall right into that same sweet spot. Even if the game itself doesn't do it for you, the host of new and fresh miniatures coming out for it will likely find a happy home in your collection and on your table.

I've already backed the game and hope to be able to bump up my pledge.

Check it out!
