Sculpting Update

Hey all!

I know it's been a bit since I mentioned any of my sculpting work, but there is a reason for that. After finishing my Uhul sculpts, I did a bunch of random sculpting work to try to work on various techniques and skills. While I was at it, I presented my designs to a couple of folks in the industry and somebody liked what they saw.

Currently the four Uhul poses as well as a few of my 15mm aliens are currently under review by a miniatures company for possible inclusion in their line. Yes, that's right, I may get to see some of my minis in lead!

The company has asked me to play this a bit close to the cuff for now and not name names or anything as this project is really in the early stages. The sculpts still need to be checked out for any features or issues that might present problems for mold-making. It's a fact, especially at this stage of my ability, that not every miniatures can be molded and put into production. This happens for a number of reasons, but that's for another post.

My main reason for posting this here is to just give a heads up to those who showed me a ton of support and interest. It is a very real possibility that you may be able to own your own versions of work soon enough. Once I am given the okay, I'll release more information and ultimately I'll let you all know where to find the minis when they are released (staying positive here). The process can take some time (months) but the folks I'm working with have great communication and I'm very optimistic about this whole thing.

Stay tuned folks and thanks again to all of you who offered praise, words of encouragement, motivation and support through all of this.

  4. There's no doubt they deserve to be out there, and I hope they do meet the technical requirements.
