A Farewell to Mohawks

So the time has come for me to make a change and part of the change has been the removal of the mohawk that has served me well. The funny thing about a hairstyle is people get attached to it. At work, I was "the guy with the mohawk" and now I am not. There are people who do not recognize me at first.

Take a look at my profile pic if you want to see the new me. I now look a little closer to my age now, too.

Take care,

-Eli

  1. I had a mohawk for about 12 hours. I decided I couldn't pull it off, and went for the shaved head instead. Interestingly, in the UK they call it a "mohican" haircut. This I learned from listening to BBC Radio online.

  2. P.S. I thought this post was going to be about either the French & Indian War or AWI!

  3. Just make sure you don't always act your age. ;)

I remember when I cut off my Devil Lock. My wife still has it in a scrapbook.

  4. I originally took to the mohawk as a joke for an office "Punk Rock Day" after having grown out from a scalp job. At first, I looked a lot like Zangief from Streetfighter because I still had my goatee.

The hawk went over well enough that I decided to keep it.

Andrew, that would have been a good name for a FIW post. I would love to get into that timeframe. I still have that lovely Iriquois lodge I bought at Game Storm two years back.

AK, I said I looked my age :)

  5. Hey Eli. I know, you thought I was dead. Turns out I was just in Kansas. Well, so to speak, at any rate.

Interesting note, I shaved my head again today. First haircut in three months. Students will probably crap a kitten when they see it.

    Catch you later, buddy!

  6. You did have me worried a bit. Can we expect your triumphant return to the hobby shortly?
