I know I promised to paint something every week in December and to an extent I have. I haven't finished any new miniatures, but i have started to work on some. With Christmas planning, terrain projects, and sculpting, I have just ended up sidetracked.
I've posted the terrain work and that continues, but I also wanted to post a pic of one of the miniatures I have sculpted.
I wanted to do sculpt something in a classic science fiction theme, so I drew some inspiration from old Star Trek, Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon type stuff. The rock creature above is one of the first ones I finished.

Great figure, Eli. A rockman -vs- a clayman! This a great way to use up little balls of putty. I'm going to try this myself.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays sir!!
Great rockman!
ReplyDeleteI like the monster, in some ways it reminds me of an Axon from the Doctor Who episode "Claws of Axos".
ReplyDeleteWOW! I like this stone golem style creature
ReplyDeleteThe rock creature would be excellent in 15mm Galaxy Quest!
ReplyDeleteAlso good for fantasy gaming - earth elemental.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're still working up a storm. Good job! I really enjoy the concept of silicon based lifeforms in sci-fi, campy or otherwise.
ReplyDeleteTommy Webber: "Well, then go for the throat or something, its vulnerable spots! "
Jason Nesmith: "It's a rock! It doesn't have any vulnerable spots!"
